hokey pokey

I'm such a first grade teacher, spending my Monday night learning to play the Hokey Pokey for my kids on YouTube. My poor housemates can't get the song out of their heads now, but I think I'm ready to play it for the little ones tomorrow. I even opted for the slightly advanced version. Go me.

So yeah, I taught my kids the hokey pokey today.  I also taught some girls "Ring Around the Rosey" at recess. I felt kind of bad teaching them a song about the Bubonic Plague.  I kept thinking about how the kids had no idea what we were talking about as we walked, hopped, and skipped in a circle before shouting, "They all fall down!"
